Pot Brownies + Study Abroad In Japan = Jail Video

Japanese drug laws (even for marijuana) are harsh - harsh enough to have landed Colorado School of Mines study abroad student Tim Wilson in jail for 11 years after his friend sent him a few pot-laced cookies and some cheeba chews. He might be off now, but who is really to blame for his prior predicament?

Oh yeah, thats just what we need, more strict drug laws.(sarcasm) If we made drugs legal, we would cut the crime rate? in half, and save billions of tax payer's money. Japan's low crime rate has more to do with culture than it does what laws they have implemented.

I've been arrested in Japan. Wasn't sent to a state prison, but I was kept in a local police cell for just over 2 weeks. I don't know if my? experience differs from the full-on Japanese prison, though?
